Elizabeth Stiving-Nichols, Allied ASID
Liz grew up on a farm in southern Ohio and pays homage to her roots with a love of organic elements and the thoughtful art of mixing rustic and refined.
With over 15 years of design experience, Liz started her quest to make a mark in the design world by moving to Martha’s Vineyard days after receiving her BFA in Interior Design from Harrington Institute of Interior Design in Chicago.
She spent the next 7 years working as an Interior Designer for Hutker Architects where she gained her appreciation and respect for the collaboration between an architect and an interior designer. “When there is a strong synergy between the design team, amazing things are created."
The recipient of the 2016 New Trad Award, 2012 5 Under 40 Award for design excellence in New England, and named one of the Fresh Faces of Design by HGTV, Liz has been published in several regional and national design magazines; her portfolio of work includes Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod, Boston, New York, Chicago, Boca Raton, and Philadelphia.
Liz started Martha’s Vineyard Interior Design in 2010 and opened a home furnishings boutique, "Bespoke Abode," shortly after.
She currently lives in Oak Bluffs with her husband Kevan and daughter Phoebe.
"We feel it is a true privilege to assist in creating the spaces our clients call home. Home is where we often long to be, feel most comfortable, and where ones style is most evident. We take our role seriously, but always find the fun in the process." - Liz Stiving-Nichols

Erin came to the Vineyard from Austin, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Sciences from University of Texas in Austin in Apparel Design and Art History. For six years, she applied herself in the advertising industry as a Producer working in post-production of commercial TV/film. After successfully facilitating others’ creative visions, developing effective project management skills, and navigating multiple deadlines, she knew she was ready to get back to her roots in design but this time from a new perspective. In 2015, Erin took a management opportunity in the retail showroom, Bespoke Abode, with a plan to learn the services and products offered by the store to our clients. Showing creative aptitude and a commitment to learn, she transitioned to the MVID team as a design assistant in the fall of 2015, and became a Junior Designer and Project Manager in the fall of 2017.
Reinforced by her mentors along the way that good design emerges from selection, reinterpretation, integration and ultimately love, Erin is excited to continue thriving with MVID and honing the application of her creativity and mastering the development of her technical design skills to the bustling residential market on Martha’s Vineyard.
